Mick Gooding

by Tazewell Royal » 20 Jul 2010 16:15

Interesting to see that Mick Gooding, or his double, appears in one of the photo's on the Slovenia tour Picture Gallery today.

Does this mean that he just happens to be on holiday there and took a day out to visit the lads, or has he been recruited as some kind of help to B McD.

That would be very interesting as one of the alleged reasons for BR's departure was wanting to recruit Mick to the coaching staff, but on being told that someone else would have to go BR (allegedly) threw in the towel.

On the right of the back row for those who can't remember him.

Any chance someone could give us the full line up, B McD, Nige and Sal are the obvious ones to me.

I'd have Mick Gooding back in CM any day, even at his age.

Well ok maybe not, but what a class player.

I know the guy in the front row on the far right. His name is Philip Knox, but I have absolutely no idea what he is doing there.

Ah fair play, I loved him in Minder and to a lesser degree in On The Up and New Tricks.

so the coaching staff won 5-1 and even gave a player advantage to the press (or two if the cameraman - press? - also played) - but not sure which press player was the advantage.

The Press team were a couple of players short, so a couple of fans (of which Phil was one) were invited to make up the numbers. They happened to be visiting the training camp as the ad-hoc match was arranged.
