STAR activities re Jose Mourinho and Chelsea - UPDATE 19-10

by STAR Voice » 19 Oct 2006 20:30

Just to let you know that STAR has decided to proceed with an official complaint to the FA about the comments of Jose Mourinho on 14th October and 17th October and against Chelsea FC for officially endorsing those complaints.

In particular, we believe that these comments have called into question the integrity of another participant in the game, have caused or may cause offence, and are to the detriment of the game of football in England. Our submission will, we believe, contain irrefutable evidence of these breaches of FA rules by these two parties.

Our submission to the FA is currently being written, and will be submitted to FA headquarters within the next few days.

We're not going to make a great public song and dance about this - that would be the Chelsea way. We're just going to quietly prepare our submission and then submit it, as is our right as stakeholders within the game of football.

JK

Well Done to Star for doing this......

Since the incident last weekend, Mourinho hasn't back tracked in fact he says that his words would be even stronger against Hunt.

In his programme notes for last nights game with Barca. It was reported in the paper today that he called Hunt a 'hunter' going out to deliberately injures his goalkeeper.

Mourinho's comments have continued to be inflammatory and slanderous.
Mourinho's reputation is in tatters. He is a liar and has no evidence to back up any of his slanderous comments ever. This stretches back to when he accused Rijkard of going into Anders Frisks dressing room and trying to influence the ref. Claims that he had no evidence to back up.

Frisk ended up with death threats and had to resign from the game. Mourinho's remarks are causing similar anguish and sentiment from Chelseas fans and are putting Hunts position into serious danger!

Mourinho is trying once again to turn Hunt this time into a similar figure of hate and it is completely unacceptable and outrageous that he should do that.

Mourinho is an utter disgrace and the FA MUST come down hard on this guy. It is unacceptable the grief and pressure that he is putting Hunt under and I hope that Cheslea fans have the common sense and wisdom to see through all of this and accept that Hunts challenge was purely accidental. If Hunt recieves even one threat to his safety as a direct result from Mourinho's inflammatory comments then Jose MUST be banned and heavily punished. It is not a nice way to treat people.

It will be interesting to see if the claim that the FA are lame ducks is true. If they take action I for one will need to apologise.

Top marks STAR - what's the club's view on this (presumably you had to ask them?)?

Superb response, dignified and fitting to the whole ethos of the club we know. Reading fans are unanimously behind STAR to demand that the FA act to clear the name of Stephen Hunt and Reading FC.

Well done to STAR. Something needs to be done about remarks made that are of this nature esp. if they are persisted with and fly in the face of all expert opinion.

For the record can't see any action being taken against Reading as a result of their submission as the FA have already exonerated Stephen.

My guess is it'll all quietly die a death but if anything does happen it will be an amendment to existing medical practices at premiership sides.
