Sorry to disappoint you all but the coaches were at Bolton by 2pm, enough time to take in the scenic beauty that surrounds the Reebok and admire the concourse and have a pint.. Yes, they had to divert because a car was wrapped around the central reservation on the M6, but so did the people that drove up, they did not sprout wings and fly over the accident. The coaches also stopped at the services for a break which is a legal requirement for the coach drivers, but fans also need a comfort stop and something to eat. So I hope this has set your minds (little or big) at rest. Fans that travelled to the game know what occurred. Also news from the coaches they may have divert again, the M42 this time, all three lanes closed due to car on fire. This will of course, also affect people that drove to the game.

You are welcome

The coaches did a detour on the M5 near Birmingham and are now back on the 42, all ok at the moment, will let you know if I hear anything different.

Yes I avoided the M6 on the way up to Bolton completely as the damn road was screwed on 3 of the 3 occasions I used it last season to get to Liverpool and Manchester meaning I only just made it for kick off so I now avoid it completely and leave earlier!

Oh yes and a hearty congratulations to the authorities for the total lack of communcation on the overhead boards about the M42 being totally jammed on the way back.

And a great job they did with the added game of guess where we're going in both directions.
