Newbury Bus

I used the John Nike bus for the Everton game and found it very good value for money. As the bus left Newbury it was pretty empty with about 12 people on it. However after its final pick up point it was rammed with the top deck full and people standing on the bottom. Would it be possible to suggest to Newbury/Reading buses to lay on an extra fast service from Newbury to the Madejski stadium which would reduce the journey time and could attract many of the Newbury bases Supporters for there cars to the bus.

At the moment the Journey time from Newbury is 1hour 13 minutes. I’m sure that a faster time of about 40 minutes would be appealing as it would be quicker then the train and (based on the John Nike bus) cheaper to. This would also allow the current service to attract new customers as well as reducing cars around the Madejski stadium, which is a huge problem. I Know STAR have no control over the buses at all but a suggestion to the club which be a good start.

It's also a cost thing.....

For us there are 2, my wife and I.
If we get the Bus from Thatcham, it is longer to get to the stadium than driving, more expensive than parking.

So there is little incentive to get the bus in all honesty.
