Fans Forum - 17th January 2008

by Keeper » 04 Jan 2008 11:34

I am pleased to advise that the next Fans Forum will be held at 8pm in the Princess Suite at the Mad Stad. This is a forum with the players so if you have any questions please contact us at STAR, PM me or bring a list to the STAR Base before any home match.

I should be able to confirm who will be attending before the event.

Oh Dave Kitson, should be a good night! Are we getting someone doing a transcript / minutes for all of us who can't go?

A fourth player has now confirmed and I am happy to tell you that Ulises De La Cruz will be attending the fans forum too.

On the Club Policies thread under 'Singing Block at the Madjeski', I have advocated the introduction of a Whilstling and Clapping zone in the North Stand.

I wonder if we could ask the players if they would support such an idea?[/url]

Personally, I'd be extremely surprised if Mr Kitson is allowed to make any personal appearances, or even to do any interviews without a minder being present, for a good number of months.

Until the Kitson case is heard it may prejudice his case to discuss it in public.

I wouldn't be shocked to see him appear before the fans to speak openly about it once the dust has settled though.

Maybe, maybe not. I think the way the FA comments were selectively quoted and used against him, and now this and the inevitable fallout - especially against the "I don't own a car" remark - may well force Dave to change his attitude to the media.

A great shame if I'm right, but I fear we may have seen the last of the refreshingly honest Dave Kitson, to be replaced by an anodyne, more media-savvy version, who hides behind the same platitudes as the rest of his profession.

And he would have no one to blame but himself.

David

Which wine would you recommend as a companion to to a red Bounty? The wife says its best with a simple beaujolais whereas the sister in law insists that it should be a sherry ( ) Personally I favour any wine from our antipodean colonies.

Sorry to confirm this but Dave will not be able to make it tomorrow. De La Cruz, Federici and Rosenior will all be there though

And bang goes the star attraction for the evening - any chance of a late replacement?
