If so what is it.

I know you very much liked the man when he won you over with his shiny new folder.

No, not particularly, except that we're sad to see Brendan leave - because we, like everyone, wanted his appointment to be a success, and we also hope that any disruption caused his departure is kept to a minimum.

I'm not sure it's within our remit to have a view on this, in the same way that we'd be unlikely to comment on particular player purchases, etc (unless there was a specific reason to) - but I see that in matters like this our role is more about doing what we can to help the communications between the club and manager and the supporters.

Having said that, we as individual supporters we do all have our own view, of course, and one of these views is published in today's Evening Post (but I can't find a link to it so you'll have to buy the paper to find it....)

I personally feel the decision was the right one - but I'm interested just when STAR ould get involved - if we started doing a QPR would STAR start to make official announcements saying the continued changing of managers is undermining the success of the football club.

I'm not trying to make a point here - I'm just interested at what point STAR would raise their head and speak publicly about an issue?

There's not an easy answer to that one, it all depends on the issue and the circumstances.

On this topic, having been to the Senior Management meeting this morning I now understand a lot more about why this all came about and why we are where we are now, and that has tempered slightly my initial thoughts that this was a hasty decision - but that's me as an individual supporter.

But I do recognise that in something like this there's no right and wrong answer, and it's nothing really that STAR should have a policy about. Only time will tell whether this is a good or a bad decision - we certainly can't, and there's nothing legally or morally wrong with it, either, which is where we'd tend to get involved.

Where we would certainly get involved also was if we thought there were any irregularities etc, if something wasn't being done legally or properly - if we're talking about something like illegal payments, bungs, financial irregularities, or looking to employ a manager or player with a proven history of serious wrong-doing then I hope we'd definitely stand up and scream foul, but I'm not sure it's our position to tell the club who they should/shouldn't employ, unless that employment is likely to damage the club as a whole.

Regarding the specific QPR-type question, yes if this did get to a point where the manager turnover was concerning I'm sure we'd say so, but thankfully that's definitely not the case, and from what was said today that is not very likely to happen.

All of the above it not official STAR policy, BTW, just my personal interpretation of what we should/shouldn't be commenting on.

As to BR, I'm personally sad it didn't work out - not just because I liked him as a bloke but because if it had it would have been good for the club - and also because he was fan-friendly and wanted to do a lot that would have been good for the supporter, like allowing grater access to the training ground etc. Having said that, now Brendan's gone I'm backing Brian.

Thanks I appreciate the time taken to respond. I agree that STAR shouldnt have a set policy I was just interwstd at what point they might intervene.

I'm interested about the senior mangement comments - without elaborating too much are you able to give the gist of whay perhaps the Rodgers departure was more understanable?

Time for Star to take action and pass on the fans concern and anger at the current situation. Losing to Plymouith today was a disgrace.

10 years ago the fans took action and we had PANTS day to express our feelings and this was organised by an amalgam of supporter groups as,at the time, there was a lack of confidence in the official supporters club. Not the current situation as there is confidence in STAR but that could evaporate if there is no comment from the organisation which is there to represent the fans...
