LOL @ the suggestion that most STAR members would consider it a betrayal for more fans to come on the coaches and increase the membership of the organisation at the same time.

T.R.O.L.I. I don't think anyone has a issue paying a membership fee however £10 just for 1 trip is a little steep.

I've only done a small handful of games on STAR buses this season, but I don't think £12+£10 is over the top for this game. Anyone that's been to Wembley will understand about standing in gridlock down Wembley Way after the game. STAR members just hop on a bus!

But will more pick up points be offered though?

I don't think anyone would object to increasing STAR membership- or travelling on the coaches but I do think they would object to people who have hitherto not bothered with STAR getting it for free.

Sadly no, we have to keep it simple. We are also trying to keep costs down. We are not a travel agency or a bus company, we are after all just volunteers doing this in our free time (this is not a cue for violins here) but we do not have the time to devote to anything more elaborate. We are offering a service simply to get fans to and from Wembley, it may not suit everyone but it is the best we can do and there are alternative forms of transport out there as we keep being told.

LOL @ mugs rushing to get to Wemberly and then moaning about the cost of joining the trust to use their coaches.
People here will moan at just about anything.
I shall gladly hand over my £12.00 and enjoy my trip on the star coaches , it will make my journey much easier ....
thankyou Star :)

Is it £20 across the board or are there concessions for youngsters?
Is STAR membership £10 for kids as well?
Any answers much appreciated.

The coach fare is per seat, so no reductions for kids - but the junior/OAP STAR membership is £5.

Thanks Dirkers. Its the mega-bus for me then....a fair bit cheaper at £42 for the three of us.

All part of the fun in the build up to a game Sarah. Sometimes that is the only fun. Getting into a pub, meeting your mates early. I for one am looking forward to going by train/tube for once.

This is true, REX and I'm sure there will be plenty of lolling going on. Unfortunately, because I have to get up to the Lake District I will have to be at least halfways sober whatever way I travel.

Booked a one-way ticket on the STAR coach for the first time ever. I hope they break me in gently. Then I have a lift up to Preston courtesy of STAR exiles. You can't say fairer than that.

Don't forget that STAR members also get a couple of STAR souvenirs (eg, season ticket wallet, pen, tax disc holder) AND a one-off 10% voucher to use in the RFC Megastore which doesn't expire until 31 May 2011 (AFTER the trip to wembley). So as long as you're not buying something already in a sale the whole package is still good value :D

.. and perhaps think about joining in July next season!!
