In March it will be 10 years since the meeting that started STAR.

There will be a variety of events over the season and the first is:

The first event of the ‘STAR is 10’ season is a quiz with a difference at 7.30pm on Wednesday November 23rd in the Princess Suite at the Madejski Stadium. It is a football based quiz with the structure of a football league and a cup competition. There will be 16 teams of 3 members (though for a small contribution it is possible to make a substitution during the evening) and the teams will play each other in 15 rounds for the league. The scores for each round will result in points as in a football match (other than when both teams get all the questions right resulting in a 6 all draw when rather than a point each there will be 2 points each). The cup competition will be a knockout, with draws being decided on a tie-break question.
It is a fun quick fire evening as each round lasts only 2 minutes for the 6 questions and all questions will be taken from the latest edition of the Sky Sports Football Yearbook (previously known as Rothmans) so if you fancy taking on other Reading supporters on your football knowledge get a team together and have a go. It will cost £15 per team and with a maximum of 16 teams you will need to book your place as early as possible. Call into the STAR Base or call Wendie on 07951 348 920 to book your team in.
