Stated in print that STAR sponsor the Fans' Team.

Can I ask what the sponsorship involves?

Obviously we've got the kit from STAR via Dirk Gently (and we're very grateful), but do we need to have a little more success before assistance with equipment and maybe travel comes our way?

By the way, LOL@ "twelve goal thriller" with the Shrewsbury fans.

I think it's poorly worded - the wording on the STAR website is :

"The Reading Fans' Team" is a group of Reading supporters who play friendly matches against groups of fans from other teams, STAR provides financial support to The Reading Fans' Team.

In that case, can I enquire as to what the financial support involves?

As an aside, would it be possible for STAR to block book X number of tickets for the Fans' team as many of us are loners who won't want necessarily have anyone to travel to games or sit with?

Could I request that the earning of financial support is not results/performance based.

I disagree - you are being pushy

If you want to make a request for funding then do so - we do not just hand out money to someone who asks for it on here. Send us specific proposals and we will consider them, though I would warn that our help in the past has been for capital projects rather than revenue projects in accountancy speak. In other words we want to finance something that will last and not running costs. HTH

Unfortunately, initial assistance with running costs will be makes is long-lasting.

I'll get back to you with a proposal-by-committee.

What's the STAR view on this little poser?

Put it in your proposal; I can't make decisions for others off the top of my head and the relevant people for this don't post on here.

I'm a little confused, and i think STAR are too. On one hand you say this

starliaison If you want to make a request for funding then do so - we do not just hand out money to someone who asks for it on here. But on the other you say this

STAR on their website STAR provides financial support to The Reading Fans' Team

Make your minds up!!!!

These are not mutually exclusive, we have provided shirts but that was the only formal request we have had, so any further funding needs specific proposals. HTH
