Volvicanus I wonder what this means in terms of the Disability Act. Unless they already exceed the number of disabled spots required won't they have to add more to keep the necessary ratio? But I'm not sure how that would be possible if these are just extentions of tiers. Knowing them they'll build it first and then worry about such things later. But perhaps the revamp means they'll be fixing the site-line problems anyway.

Theres going to be new diabled seats. You can see in the new design that they'll be in the East Stand extension where the back of current East stand is.

Well- I'll be really pleased if they have some higher up. I would probably strongly consider moving - esp as I can't imagine that they wouldn't sort out the site-line problem for new constructions. Not much needs to be different - just a bit higher from the next line of seats.

I think the site-line problem is much worse in the Prem. Plus side I suppose is that the atmosphere is great at times but it's very frustrating that it's at the most exciting times when the problem is the worst. I didn't see one single bit of Doyle's penalty against Man U. So - nice new higher up seats will sort that all out nicely.

I thought that we had too much disabled places at first and that they didn't get filled up, even at big games, but it appears not then.....East x 2, South x 2, North x 2, South-West corner, North-West corner.

That Friday Feeling I would like to know if the front edge of the roof will be higher than it is at the moment. It looks like it will be.

I rarely get wet in Row R but if the roof is raised I suspect that given the right wind direction the rain will reach me more often. I can't say I'd be too chuffed about that.

Ah that's it then, forget the whole stadium expansion idea, somebody might get a bit wet.

In the East Stand it's no more than the first dozen rows that get wet when it rains. I think its a legitimate question to ask if this will be fixed under the new plans or how far back you need to move to keep dry.

Big Ern

Ginger Ninjas I think this is really exciting stuff!

The brochure on the OS clears up a lot of questions I had about the design, and it looks very impressive. When complete, I think it would be fair to say that little old Reading would have the best stadium in the country, (south of Manchester and outside London that is - and only Emirates and Wembley would be better in London). Birmingham's proposed new stadium would be the only thing that could eclipse it.

Good times.

You forgot Stamford bridge m8.

Stamford Bridge is a shit hole.

LOL!! I knew you were a joker - but that one is good.

Stamford Bridge is a stadium which is aesthetically unpleasing to the eye. There's no symmetry about it. I personally don't like it. And I doubt my visit there on Boxing Day will alter that view.

It's more interesting than all of stadiums built out of the same kit like the mad stad. The Concourses at SB are much better, no horrible breeze blocks in site.

Isn't this just an elaborate rouse to ensure that when you next draw Wolves at home in the cup that their fans will be put in a lower tier and be subjected to the RFC version of the 'Molineux experience'

Stamford Bridge is one of the better stadiums IMO
Just a bit 'different' and the east stand is really impressive considering its age and history and how well it still fits in

shame the atmosphere is sh1t really

I'd like to know if the away fans will get a bigger allocation next season when the work on the South and North stands is completed.

Will the away end be the new section of the South stand or will it the entire lower tier like it used to be, with Reading fans in the new bit?

Isnt the Prem limit roughly 3,000 though for away fans?
So it probably would increase but not to a huge amount

Re: disabled areas. This is entirely specultative but they may just decide to repeat what they have in the existing ground i.e. disabled areas between the entrance tunnels.

What I don't understand, like Premiereship_bound, is if there are no executive boxes and split levels between the stands, how can the club build hospitality areas with amazing views of the pitch?

No but's he 3,000 or 10% of the capacity is the minimum requirement, whatever is least.

They currently get 10% of capacaity and they will be increased to 3,000. So yes away fans will get more seats.

I thought that it would all still be one tier? correct me if I'm wrong.

Given our own fans experiences I would like to think if the stand was to be divided then they would keep it as it is now and split it verticallly rather than horizontally.
