FURIOUS!!!

by notloyalenuffroyal » 22 Oct 2006 22:40

Can anyone explain to me why seats in Upper West - next to South Stand - were sold to a Corporate Arsenal Sponsor?

(I have no idea how to show my own photos so can't show you all a pic from my phone)

There were roughly 100 of them and they cheered, clapped throughout the game. 1 steward had a word after the second goal, but then let them continue for the rest of the game.

I had a word with a steward in the South Stand and he said "We have a camera on them".

GREAT - BUT SURELY SUPPORTING AN AWAY TEAM OBVIOUSLY IN A HOME END GETS YOU EJECTED!!!

I was livid - furious - pee'ed off and will be writing to the club.
There aren't enough seats for Reading supporters and here we are flogging them to the opposition in the home end. Then complaining to the steward on safety grounds and nothing happening!

SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS MADNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [/img]

Money?

That seems to be all that matters now.

We've got STs in the Upper West and I can assure you it happens for every game. Winds me up something rotten. Except for the Boro game when the 3 previously so cocky Smoggies slinked out with 10 minutes to go. Strange how they got less and less vocal!

Does that mean it's okay to tranfer tickets. Surely if the colour of the shirt matches the away team the club can see something 'funny' is going on here? If club rules mean oxf*rd all then at least we know and we can all ignore them.

Don't worry guys! I was sat in the Manchester United Directors' box and a colleague of mine was in the Arsenal box...both of us lifetime Reading fans...that balances it a bit!

I have no problem with away fans sitting in home stands as long as they are quiet and enjoy the game. I've done it myself at Walsall with relations.

What I have a problem with is the club flogging 100 tickets to Arsenal fans in a Reading end and then letting them shout and scream for the entire game with no one doing anything about it!

Agree totally. Apart from anything else it shows a complete lack of respect for the home fans, and the club in general. Little old Reading - couldn't fill their own place so we had to help them out. Just imagine the welcome you'd get at Stamford Bridge wearling your hoops!
