powellyboi I think the groundstaff are not doing the correct job - Arsenal are used to longer grass which makes it harder for our boys to perform.

I think additional forage was added. When I went up to the Megastore on Friday, Gordon was digging up clumps of grass from the side of the road up the hill towards the stadium. I wondered what on earth he was doing!Nezhen Taken from Gordon Neate's groundkeeping yearbook notes:
RFC grass contains fibre, carbohydrate, protein and a high water content. Many minerals and vitamins are also present but it is a good idea to provide a mineral or feed block for the grass that is not fed concentrate feed. The actual nutrient content varies greatly throughout the year depending on the stage of plant growth. As grass ages it consists of more stem and less leaf. Nutrient levels fall and the indigestible fibre levels increase. During the winter, when grass growth is reduced, it is often necessary to supplement grass with additional forage.
It was obvious on Sunday that no additional forage had been added to the playing surface. So I hope that RFC sort this out quickly before our next home game !
