EASTENDER MARKY
Jerry St Clair We're in row 29. I see Marky is in 31. Near the back presumably?

Hopefully. A Chelsea fan I know that went there for their cup game a couple of years ago thinks it was 35 rows high.

I am in Row 39 so I must be sitting on the roof then.

Near the back is a very poor view. I sat a few rows from the back for England v Wales & you cant see most of the other stands beacuse of the downward angle of the roof. That might have improved a bit since the extra seats have been added to the corners.

Why would you want to see the other stands ?

Being is an 65000 crowd and not being able to see about 40000 of them is kind of odd. it just felt like the ground was half empty & was like watching through a letter box.

The silence from the home stands doesn't help with that either.

Down to those with 301 points today. Do you think the tickets will go on general sale?

Any idea how many we've sold? It was 2,000 last wednesday so I would say we'll take around 4,000.

Seriously?

This is bad news. Sounds like a splastics day out, a la Arsenal.

Didn't think we'd sell quite that many. Chuffed to pieces though! :D

Surprised that many, as when I asked on Saturday they said 3K.

However, anyone with a HST from last season and a ST from this year - and there all splastics as we know  - will have been able to buy today.

Er, no.

The quality of the atmosphere is directly proportionate to the number of fans attending. For example:

500 at Preston on a Tuesday night = cracking atmosphere
7,000 at Arsenal on a Tuesday night = shit atmopshere.

I'm starting to dread this trip. It's going to be a circus of face-painted twats.

yeah the guy said they sold a lot 2day(more than average) compared to the other days so probably why because of half season tickets etc.

hope it dont go on general sale that would be the worst though-then all the plastics would turn up

Sort of agree a la Arsenal but hopefully it will be a bit different as hopefully this time people with more points will be there instead of Arsenal where the TO cocked up and the tickets were going to people with about 100 points on the second day. I suppose if it is like Arsenal at least the more hardcore support will be in nthe same section of the stand (they had instructions from United to sell the tickets starting from the far right and working the way through) so at least there will be a good atmosphere in parts of the stand.

At least all the hardcore support will be together to the right side of the goal. (looking from Stretford End). A mate got tickets last wednesday and he is directly behind the goal so up to 500 points I would say we sold just over 2,000.

Todays loyalty figure was 301.

My son bought a ticket this afternoon with 265 points.

That system works then!
