I'm a plastic - I didn't have enough points to go last season and DG helped me out this time in case they'd all gone before my meagre points bracket came round.

And yes, I smell plasticky because I walk around in a giant condom, like in Naked Gun.

Valid.

Wigan away was the equivalent last year - cracking day out.

Overdraught limit -£1500
Current cleared funds -£1135
Pay day 30th august
Reading festival 24-26th aug.

its simple really, - would have cost me 38 pound plus petrol, plus i cant get ticket for girlfriend on my membercard, so would be driving up alone

i went last season, spent the night up there, spent a fortune

that is why i am not going
i hope this satisfies those fans who are better than me.

Just goes to prove that not even RFC fans are stupid enough to pay over the top ticket price for away games for more than one season.

It's the champions at Old Trafford, the Theatre of Prawn Sandwich Fillings, and it's £38.

Mainly it's on the telly, so no, it isn't a huge surprise we still have a third of our allocation remaining.

Me and Missus were planning on going:

Tickets - £76
Train (from Leeds!) - £30
Beer - £30
Food - £20
Taxi - £10

Total cost of seeing Reading most likely lose = £166. Off on hoilday in 2 weeks, that money is unfortunately spent better elsewhere..

When a trip to football just across the pennines costs that much, then really what is the point? It's a shame, as last year I desperately wanted to go, but could not get a ticket...

Over the past few years I have been to all sorts of away games and loved it. Rotherham, Sunderland, Boston, Oxford etc

Last season I went to none.
This season I will quite likely go to the same number.

It is a personal boycott of silly prices. I support the club by buying STs for my family. If I don't wish to be fleeced for games which are now more expensive [and often less exciting] then I will exercise my right to choose.
If home prices rise any more I will seriously consider giving up STs and just go occasionally - or even give up watching RFC.

Anyone who really believes their support is valued either by the players or the club needs to kick the drugs.
Player loyalty is non-existent - aside from badge kissing to convince mugs to cough up dosh to pay their inflated wages....

Went last year, but I'll be in St Ives by Sunday! It would have been one I'd like to have gone to.

rfcjoe Ive just rang up the ticket office to see how many tickets are left for man utd on sunday and there are just under 1000 left.I find this quite disapointing because we should be selling these tickets easily and besides its the first game of the season
Opinions :

Interesting. Last week (Wed) I was told there were just under 500 left when I asked... So one of us is wrong.

It's holiday season too.

You will see on Wednesday when Chelsea come to town, there will be a fair few empty seats where season ticket holders are on their summer hols.

Not quite free, you'd still have to buy a pint.

Why would he? There's no law that says to enter a pub you must by alcohol.
