rabidbeeDirk Gently How depressing - Over 200 people more saw a gutless FA Cup perfomance by a second-string team than saw a superb fightback by a team with character in a massively entertaining game.
Yeah, but I saw Nick Cave, so I'm still up on the deal.

rabidbee It's said that we have one of the younger/more family-oriented fanbases in the league, and that kind of thing is going to hit away attendences, especially midweek games.

Tony Le MesmerRoyal With Cheese I remember the time when you would go to an away match and genuinely know every other Royals fan (bar the odd one or two) that were there. In the late 80's early 90's it wasn't unusual for between 30 and 70 to turn up to a mid week away game. Oh, how times have changed!
And that included the police, who on the odd occasion outnumbered the fans!
Ive got some old videos from 90-93 taped off Coast to Coast on the Monday night. I could usually spot myself at away games acting like a Retard with the rest of the massed ranks on the odd occasion we scored at our end.
