Sarah Star Another benefit: For Season Ticket Holders our FA Cup match will be £15 a ticket until 9th December. Then adult tickets will be £20

IT'S NOT FAIR, WHY SHOULD MEMBER CARD HOLDERS HAVE TO PAY £5 MORE THAN STHS! *STAMPS FEET PETULANTLY*

I think it's a great move by the club to give season ticket holders reduced tickets but I'm not happy about them releasing tickets to all Member Card holders. What happened to the points scheme? Surely it was invented for games like this? I'm at university so don't have a season ticket but still have 698 points. I just think it is a little unfair that my loyalty isn't rewarded.

I'm with you there. Obviously my post was a sarcastic one aimed at those who moaned about the £5 discount for the Crystal Palace game.

I'm not sure why they haven't done anything about the royalty points.

I don't think that's the point of having royalty points.

surely thats exaclty th epoint of royalty points- to allow those with the most loyalty to see the big games, and since there'll be little danger of a sell out regardless, then it dont really matter

With all the plastics and the Liverpool fans round here who might have watching the odd RFC game i wouldn't be so sure.

For every good move, there always seems to be a bad move.

The idea of Royalty points is to reward the fans for their loyalty. Perhaps this is something STAR could look into quickly.

If it's going to be a sell-out, then it's surely more important to have those with higher loyalty points to have the opportunity to obtain their tickets before the Liverpool loving plastics get their grubby mitts on one.

EDIT: Actually, you would have a point if the game was NOT going to be a sell out. If it wasn't then royalty points wouldn't matter.

surely the liverpool plastics would only be able to get tickets on the day unless they randomly have member cards to do it on line?
how many will actually have bothered to do that?
and surely theyd like to sit with their own kind?

anyway- i dont know why im arguing-ive no idea if it will sell out or not

I know a few who have member cards and i don't think they'd be bothered by sitting in the home end if they got to see their team in person.

Of course it's going to be a sell-out. I could fill fifty seats alone with friends and relations who'd like to come... although admittedly, not all of them have member cards.

brendywendy 23 quid isnt a swindle

and id rather have a fuller ground than moan about non ST holders getting cheaper ticketrs than me

personally

I couldn't agree more, perhaps STH's would prefer if only they were allowed in!

Why has this not been moved to Club Policies yet?

One of the benefits of buying an early bird ST is that you may get a better seat in the stadium rather than buying individual tickets during the season when you are often left with the lesser seats.
Besides nobody is forced into buying an ST. You take your choice and take your chance.

We have 2 STs because we want to sit in "our" seats. I'd probably buy them anyway even if they actually turned out to be MORE expensive than buying lots of individual tickets in random places around the stand.

It's all about getting bums on seats v potential lost revenue. I'm sure it's better to have the bums on seats.

I notice the club has just announced that STHs can bring a friend half price to the Derby game. It won't stop people whining about the Palace offer but it's better than nothing.

So this person got the cheap Blackpool offer, a fiver off Palace, and now gets a 50% reduction - hardly fair on STHs is it.....?
