Farnborough Friendly 10th July

by Terry Tibbs » 26 Jun 2010 23:24

Quick question:
When do the tickets for this game go on sale or is it pay on the day?

Owing to the huge demand - a slow trickle of POTD will be released.

Cracking little club Farnborough, I've been to this fixture in seasons gone by.

Defo pay on the day.

Not required. Pay on day, crowd will be under a 1000.

I'm IN for Cherrywood Road. Demand Platinum Lounge hospitality again (as per the Exeter City reserves fixture)...if not, the local boozer (after Mollys of course) will do...

The social club at the ground is the only boozer you'll need.

Full squad going, The Derminator is expecting to field two different sides each half so all players get 45 minutes

Just an ease back into the season gently. Meet some old familiar faces and have a beer. :| Occasionally watching the match with casual interest.

... bit of a heads up : I went last April and I'd not recommend sitting in the Swan Stand/Prospect Rd - that's the one opposite the entrance/main stand - its quite low down and fairly shallow and the views of either end are absolute b@ll@cks because of the gert big dugouts on the touchline in front of you. To get any kind of view of both goals from there, you'd have to sit at either end.

I'm assuming they've got their big shiny new all seated stand at the southern end of the ground finished so that'll be Ok.
The opposite end to that - which I think might be where they direct away fans if there's a big following - is a covered Terrace.

Tea Bars are pretty good up that end too.
