Sadly, it is a fact that when it comes to pikeys, the local authorities and police do nothing because they are scared. Expect this to run and run and run.

I'll probably park somewhere near the crown wood and catch it around there about quarter past/twenty past 1.

When the wheel clampers have their licenses revoked in November will we, theoretically, be able to park on Kennet Island (and at the Hilton)? Or do RBC have traffic wardens issue parking tickets there?

I'd advise all royals fans who park in the three mile cross, grazeley area DON'T. I've recieved a couple of parking fines and tickets, as well as a mate of mine. Most notably Mereoak Lane, the council parking authorities and PCSO's love it round there.

I know many a road that can be used there, just avoid juctions and restricted bits.

Well done to Premier Foods for deciding to open up their car park for RFC an LI games this season.

£7 to park, a massive 75% of which goes to Cancer Research!

Great to see a company helping out with the parking situation and not seeking to make a profit from it.

The Whitbread car park in acre road is open again for a fiver, and right at the end of acre road there's another one opened up for a fiver. About time these businesses realised they can make some money rather than spend money on security to keep people out.

All we need now is for STAR to persuade Horseman to open up their parking for STAR members.

Does anybody park on the south side of the M4? If so where's best and what's it like walking to the Mad Stad from there (getting across the Motorway etc).

Thanks.

This was posted on a Barnsley message board last week, HTH

Hi,

We run a pub called The Crown Inn (RG7 5BT) in a village near the Madejski Stadium in Reading. We have a large car park able to accommodate coaches and welcome travelling supporters clubs for many of Reading's home games as we are right on the M4 1 junction before the Mad Stad.

As well as a fantastic selection of beer (including John Smiths) we provide great value bacon rolls, pies and other snack items. Additionally, there are 3 other pubs within walking distance, so travelling supporters often have a great time visiting more than one of the local hostelries as, I'm sure you are aware, there are no pubs within the immediate vicinity of the Madejski.

You can find our location through the website at http://www.thecrowntheale.co.uk Journey time from the pub to stadium is only about 15 minutes.

Kids are welcome too, so we look forward to welcoming you Saturday 25th

Cheers

Warren & Michaela

Massive LOL @ a pub in Theale advertising itself as local to the Madejski. Might as well have the Poachers do the same in Sindlesham

THey are advertising themselves as a place to stop for food and drink, not as somewhere to park for the Stadium.
