Ticket re-issues

by StevenKelliher » 20 Apr 2012 19:19

With a stroke of luck on Wednesday , i managed to get a paper ticket for the Palace game online from Readingfcdirect . Due to being based in York, i wasn't sure if it would get to me on time so i had it posted to my home address in Reading. Now my mother-in-law bless her,saw a letter waiting for me this morning and redirected it to me in York. Which so happened to be my ticket. :x

Is there anyway on earth the Reading ticket office will reissue it?

Yes. Phone the club and explain the situation. They will then reissue once they can verify the transaction. Sometimes the tickets are picked up in the North or East ticket offices so get there early and ensure it all runs smoothly. Good luck.

Def. It happened to me, I phoned up the morning of the day quoting ref number and address confirmation. Took 2 mins over the phone and a minute to pick it up.

I had the opposite problem, my son left his member card at uni, I called the TO and they said they could reissue a paper ticket. Went to the East stand TO and gave them the CC I booked it on. They said they *could not* issue a paper ticket as the member card was still active and their system would potentially let some else in, but I could buy a *new ticket* for £28!

I then went to the TO and they were a bit more helpful, although I got them impression that what I was told originally was their policy and they weren't meant to reissue a seat.

Essentially, because it was our fault we were meant to buy another ticket.

I'm remember reading somewhere you could be issued with a paper ticket if you forgot your ST, but only after the game had kicked off?

Should have just said you'd lost it and they would have replaced your card there and then.

I have had it before where my brother forgot both mine and his season tickets for a game  went to the East Stand ticket office and they had no problem giving us paper tickets...surely the system can cancel member cards (or barcodes on paper tickets) once a replacement ticket has been issued?
