weybridgewanderer Here's an idea, why not stick a hotel next to the ground and have a bar in it

That way its used all year and on the odd occasion there is football game (what 30 days out of 365) the fans could use it?

or how about we stick a bar/restaurant in the home end somewhere, just for our own supporters?

It'd never work!

rob the royal I know this is mainly about food and drink but following from the title of the thread...

I don't know what anyone else thought but those massive pictures that Brighton had of former players round the back of their stadium was quite cool. It's just copying someone else but who cares? I'd stick a load of those around the back of the east stand for a start.

Also on either side of the two roads leading up to the stadium a pair of replica Forbury Lions would look pretty impressive.

Because in fairness apart from a few flags outside the club shop, the odd poster and the "bricks in the wall" the place has always been a bit lacking (like most out of town new stadiums)...

Def agree with the above.. Blue lighting would look ace on match evenings & some iconic images around the stadium would give us some talking points! 8)

Batman call lights in the sky replaced with the RFC logo, and a large boozer at the South (away) and North (Home) end of the stadium would be epic. Sort it out Anton.

Thing the lighting would be trashy but agree on the large marquee bars

who are ya? How about crazy golf :?:

Not sure if entrusting football fans with golf clubs and golf balls close to the ground is a sound move.

The situation could be dramatically improved with some minor developments:

-a large Wetherspoons
-a row of take-away shops (including a pie & mash shop)
-Two independent pubs
-Bowling alley or something to bring punters in when its not a match day

I think the pie and mash shop is of the highest priority tbf.

This is all well and good, but who would use it on a cold Thursday evening in the winter? Or in the summer time when theres no football or rugby?

There would be no business there.

That's why I suggested

"-Bowling alley or something to bring punters in when its not a match day"

Doesn't have to be a bowling alley. Could be an giant aquarium, zoo, theme park, anything!

To be honest I'd be happy if they just turned the Jazz Cafe into a real ale pub / pie & mash shop.

The World Turned Upside Down would be perfect to turn into a big, proper boozer. Queuing single file out the door for a beer to drink in what feels like 3 different little sections is just shit to say the least.
Again, for the size needed for a match day pub, would it get the custom throughout the rest of the year? I doubt it very much
