Was gutted to be missing out on this game because I though we'd be lifting the trophy, but now we're not it's like 'meh'.

Feel completely the opposite tbh - pressure's off so it's just gonna be one massive party. Glad we're not going there needing a point.

A massive party that would be so much better if it was topped off with a presentation.

It would be "a bit" better but we'll just lob an inflatable trophy onto the pitch and Jobi will do it for the lolz

This - and for once it's a day out with little meaning other than pride in another win for us, though i thing Birmingham will be looking at pushing for the fourth spot in prep for the playoffs. There could still be a few twists and turns to go yet. Southampton and Cardiff are looking over their shoulders. Either way it's great to look at it all unfold knowing nothing will affect us.

Surely everyone must now bring a inflatable trophy? Great way of showing we don't need the official Football League presentation to have a good time. Would make for some great imagery as well...

I'm gonna get hold of some npower football league ribbons which I will happily distribute to anyone with an inflatable trophy...

East Stand Ste
urz13 Apparently there will be about 5000 Reading fans in the home end as well as the 4000 in the away end

source?

Was at a dinner party at a mates house, and the guy next to me was deputy head of the Birmingham ticket office. He said they'd sold 5000 tickets to new members all with postcodes in the Reading area.

"That's a suspiciously round number."

I'd be really surprised to see 9000 reading fans there. Not saying its not true.

If it is the case then I won't have to sit quietly during the game!

Perhaps the section that Birmingham were screening off in their end will have to be extended. I expect the inflatable will be the give away.

a) if he was aware that Reading fans were trying to buy tickets in the home end, do you think he would actually sit back and let that happen...5000 times! Gross negligence if so and I suspect he would be fired
b) if it is true he would be incredibly stupid to brag about it, although that would be consistent with the above
c) when did Reading last take 9000 fans away from home?

H'd probably had too much Chablis at your mate's dinner party and was trying to impress people with his inside track as a "Deputy Head" LOL

I'll be seriously impressed if there's more than 500

Well he can't reall bar people from buying tickets because they may all be Birmingham fans :P
I do agree it sounds too many though, but that's what he said. We shall see how many remain behind at the game I suppose :D

I originally thought that the home block next to RFC fans would have a section netted off for safety.

Now I'm thinking it may just be one huge Reading end if here's that many fans

If we had 5,000 extra fans coming i'm sure GML6 & GML7 would have sold out by now

All reading fans in the brum end take an inflatable, that way others know your a reading fan.

And it will be quite funny when some disgruntled brum fan takes offence, and we can all laugh at the fighting / getting chucked out that will follow.
