sandman There's is of course a benefit with that. Unfortunately slightly negated by the fact the team we're associating ourselves with are absolute shite.

RoyallyFcuked I follow F1 almost as closely as I follow football, and this deal struck me as a little pointless but I am happy about it all the same. Basically just because its quite cool to have our logo on an F1 car, but whether it is actually seen by many people is a different matter.
In 2010, 3 new teams joined F1, (Caterham, HRT and Marussia). Since then, none of those 3 teams has ever scored a point (finished 10th or higher), and HRT went bust in 2012. As the Marussia's are always running at the tail end of the field, they get very little TV time. The only way TV audiences will see our logo is when a Marussia is involved in a incident with another car, crashes, or breaks down. I'm not sure what either party is looking to gain out of this, but last season (2012 F1 season) I noticed that the Chelsea badge had been put on the Sauber cars, and is there again this season. So it looks as though Roman has given AZ some bad advice or something

Royal91 I don't like people disagreeing where they have no logical argument.
I can't think of one reason why this is a bad idea.

One8Seven1 Seriously, some fans will moan about everything just for the sake of moaning! This, even if just a little bit, helps give the club more exposure. We're fast moving away from the tag "little old Reading"; ironically though it's the fans themselves that don't seem to want to evolve with the club.

Linking up with a little F1 team gives your argument no substance.

One8Seven1 Will Buxton of Murussia is a Reading fan, I didn't know that.

Yep, my bad. With the photo and him saying he'll struggle to remain impartial I assumed wrongly he was with Marussia.

Explain how having our logo appear once or twice here and there to 500,000,000 viewers doesn't provide additional exposure for the club? Of course it does! It might not make a great amount of difference, but it does go some way to further promote our brand.

I'll give you a fiver if someone starts supporting RFC on the back of the worst F1 team. Won't make any difference at all and vice versa!

One8Seven1 Who said anything about gaining a supporter? It helps promote the brand, it will help with securing future sponsorships, it helps in changing people's perception of the football club and our status within the game.
