Some interesting quotes here. Comparisons with Spurs and Everton are ambitious, perhaps overly so, but he seems like a man with a plan

And to his credit, he's been a man of his word thus far. It all looks very positive for the club. But the key is getting back to the Premier League.

....and staying there.

Or just making sure that if we don't stay there for long we're in the best shape possible to bounce back before parachute payments dry up again.

Dirk, 18 months on, are you feeling a little more comfortable with the change in ownership?

Typically sensationalist story from the press. Even if we have made a mistake in not filing accounts, the maximum penalty for filing late is still <10k

Yeah beyond the headline it's not exactly sensational... still, sometimes things like this are the first little warning that something might be up. I'd like to think that's not the case here but it's still not ideal.

As I said on the TB, TSI don't have to post their first set of accounts till February at the earliest (depending on when their year end is) so presumably this is the media putting 2 and 2 together and getting 87 as usual.

We'd have had to submit a cash flow statement to the PL anyway, so it's not like we can hide anything 'dodgy' within it

Which makes me particularly enjoy this bit

But Telegraph Sport has learnt that the club’s Gibraltar-registered parent company, Thames Sports Investment, which Zingarevich used to take over the club, has not filed accounts since it was incorporated in January last year.

Of course they haven't you mongs

So to be entitled to the exemption TSI have to have submitted SOME accounts which they don't have to until January of next year at the earliest, so obviously they haven't yet. Whoever RFC's accountant was obviously didn't understand this particular detail.

It's just a oxf*rd up, not evidence of anything malicious.

Exactly, and as the article states itself the PL requires an audited version of full accounts to be submitted every March so it's not like we'd be able to hide a massive money-laundering conspiracy within a single cash-flow statement anyway.

It's a glossy headline, but in fact it's a simple Companies House inquiry that will be easily remedied if RFC's accountant is indeed a bit of a plonker

Sells out every week, can't really blame them, especially when local car parks match them for price.

One8Seven1 AZ has never claimed to have a lot of money, only the media have, and that's because his father is a billionaire, not Anton!

Anton promised to operate with bigger budgets, and we are compared to that of SJM. He also promised we wouldn't have to sell out best players, unless of course they forced a move (i.e. Kebe, Pog..)

He has actually kept his word, but the fans buy into the bullshit the press come out with and their expectations increase, and unfairly. You can also argue Adkins has shot himself in the foot with his very vocal ambitions for us, but that's his job, that's how he works, he instills confidence in his squad and to do that you have to talk them up, and the club also.

AZ has done nothing wrong. Football fans always want more, so he's very rarely going to be on a winner.
