Friday nighter thanks to a fixture screw up :( so can't make it. Oh well an evening with Tim and Mick it'll have to be then (but at least I won't have the drive back from another ground we rarely get any return).

Just out of interest which hotel did you book, as we are looking to book something really soon. Also does anyone know of any good secure car parks that I can leave my car for about 2 days?

Premier Inn Goldsmith Street. In the City Centre. It has a car park which I think is £10 per day

I hope you looking to have a couple of sleepless nights as that is right next to the NTU students union.

Two questions:

1) where is good for pre match drinks for away fans
2) how far/ how easy to get to ground by foot from the centre

Not sure if I'm even going, but if we do and we bother with a pub I've heard the Larwood and Voce is away fan friendly so probably there.

1) Last time we went (evening), we parked and had a pint and a bite at Notts County's ground, over the river from the City Ground - decent enough if they are still doing it. Previous times we've been to the Vat & Fiddle, or just gone straight there. Larwood & Voce is a decent shout so I've heard as well. We've always parked up in West Bridgford with no issues, but beware the Nottingham traffic which is always, without fail, shit.

2) It's about 1.5 miles from the station to the ground (bearing in mind you have to walk right around it to get to the away end). You can cut through the Meadows estate if you're wearing body armour...

For those going, don't forget your (orange) beanie hats, and play nicely with the lovely stewards - they love it if you stand up a lot...

Yea I just read on football ground guide that they target away fans for constant standing
