Ian Royal It's not exactly a major hardship. And I don't see how anyone can think it's costing extra. It's just the same stewards who'd be there anyway doing something annoying rather than just standing and watching.

maybe...just maybe... they were trying to help the newbies find their newly bought seats?Royal Lady :?: Are they looking for someone in particular?
They did it for a bit last season too.
On Saturday, they let a young boy through and then had beef with his dad because he had a member card and couldn't prove where he sat or something....

If you went you would see there are more Stewards !
Imagine somebody asking which chair you are sitting in to listen to Radio Berks every match............

Royal Lady I haven't contacted the club about it because it isn't THAT big a deal, however, I was interested to know why they were doing it at all and so I asked the question on here, on the offchance that someone on here might have known.

wingnut Why would you give your sausage and chips to the steward when he wants to see your season ticket? Was it some sort of bribe or a weird Jedi mind-trick
"You don't need to see my season ticket - here have a chip instead"

Don't feed the stewards else you'll never get rid of them.paultheroyal Gave my sausage and chips to the steward at half time when asked and checked for the third time ie season ticket gggrrr!

Next time, wave a golden gamble ticket and say "Yes, I bought one from your colleague outside".rob the royal Stewards seem to be getting really arsey this season. Was walking up to the gate, wallet out, just fishing out the ST and the stewards goes "Have you got a ticket?" No love i'm just gonna stick my Nectar card in and see if I get lucky.
To be fair it wasn't so much being asked but the way she asked. I don't know how anyone could make such a seemingly inoffensive question sound so downright aggressive.
