£5 MATCHDAY PARKING IN BENNET ROAD PROCEEDS GOING TO CHARITY

by Royal_Warrior » 17 Oct 2014 11:42

Just a quick heads up, my company owns a car parking compound next door to thrifty car hire that is halfway along Bennet Road, they are opening it up for people to matchday parking for the Derby game with all proceeds going to charity for £5 a car . its strictly first come first served and the charity we are collecting for is http://www.whizz-kidz.org.uk/ . If successful it may be opened on a more regular basis with all proceeds going to the charity.

Thanks - sounds a very good deal for everyone and helping out charity as well. It was a shame when the charity one at the old Premier Foods site had to close.

Thank you for all those who parked in our compound at the weekend, We managed to raise £185 for the charity Whizz-Kidz. Due to the success we are opening the car park compound again this weekend for the fixture against Blackpool , once again all the money will be going to Whizz-kidz and timings regards opening and closing of the car park remain the same.

It might be worth emailing the club to let them know aswell and they may even advertise it for you on the 'Matchday' email they send out...I don't think the club are against initiatives like this...

+1 The Stadium car park is sold out so any extra spaces locally will help get people to the games/spending money at the club.

Used it for the Blackpool game but probably won't again unfortunately. Took 30mins longer to get away than my usual parking at the Holiday Inn. Seemed to be popular so hope it continues for those that it benefits.
