theroyalsaregoingup And personal I'd lose that bloody drum.

Bad experience, theroyalsaregoingup?

Perhaps the drum was the reason why the Royals did not go up.

Forbury Lion Can we ditch "Royals Roar" now please before the back the boys rumblesticks number 13 who wants pizza mob get in on it and decide to play the Katy Perry song "Roar" at every home game, Otherwise the only roars we will hear will be roars of laughter from the away end.

you forgot to mention the shit sweet caroline song they insist on banging out before every home game hoping its gonna make us win the league again

TBH I'd prefer Roar to Sweet Caroline.

But then I have no taste in music.

Maybe something like a play on words with this? -http://youtu.be/ceWKrsJX9N4

I think it would only work if everyone joined in though.

4 steps to a better atmosphere:

1. lose the sh*tty band which sometimes play. Drummer can stay.
2. Stop playing sweet Caroline every 5 minutes, in fact, maybe we can lose it all together. Stick with Embrace. :)
3. Sack Queensley (yes I'm blaming her now)
4. Takeshi's castle at half time. Make it happen.

If they were to put on Takeshi's Castle or The Crystal Maze on at the Mad Stad I'd vote for making that the main event with the football moved to accommodate it.

The club simply need to put plastic sheeting at the back of the stands to stop the noise escaping out the back of the stands, as with Stoke and Boro. It makes a big difference in keeping the noise within the stadium. It's a load of nonsense being told the club need it to ventilate the pitch. Other clubs pitches don't suffer for it!

I think we should all take up orchestral instruments.

A 15000 strong orchestra could be the way forward. You may need 2 seats to spread legs wide enough for a cello though and the stewards would go bonkers with the double bass players who need to stand up to play. We'll therefore need a double bass safe standing area.

Surely they could roll up the plastic sheeting after the game to allow this to happen...... maybe the way to sell it is "I've got a great idea for making more advertising space - roll down/up sheeting which can carry sponsor logos".

Good Evening,

My name is Sam and I am the founder of Royal Revolution; a new project that's aim is to improve noise and passion at the Madejski Stadium through chanting and the display of flags/banners/scarves.

The Mad Stad atmosphere has been a common discussion among fans for several seasons now. Many that I have spoken to believe that the atmosphere needs a lift. We've experienced some great atmosphere's in the recent past such as Bradford (2015), Forest (2012) and Wigan (2001) but there have been many also where little noise has been created whatsoever.

The plan at the moment is to situate the group within Y25/Y26 where the majority of the the noise is currently created. New flags/banners would be designed, produced and displayed within the section. For some games we would also plan TIFO's (plastic card display such as QPR, 2006) to give the stadium colour.

I have contacted the club and STAR with my plans but am yet to receive a reply so far.

I would appreciate any feedback/ideas that you have on the project. Please feel free to check out our Twitter page- https://twitter.com/royalrev1871
and website- http://royalrevolution.weebly.com/.

Thanks,

Sam
