Well done Reading Football Club.

We're getting closer to the ultimate goal of Ten for the men!

Good stuff. Saw that Sheffield Wednesday are charging Villa £42 for their away trip which is an absolute JOKE.

Villa fans have had enough punishment last season.

We should let the Villa fans in for free next season. That is the least they deserve.

After the last two seasons of home form Reading should let us in for free as well.....

superb stuff from the club, and even superberer that they've removed my only gripe with 20s plenty, but offering 20 quid tickets to home fans in the north stand too

Indeed - making the Eamonn Dolan stand £20 as well is a great move. The stadium always feels better with a crowd behind that goal.

Indeed. I prefer the atmosphere but I'm not paying more than I need to, so the Eamonn Dolan Stand it is for us now.

Reading FC Fans are the beating heart of football and those who follow their team home and away should be appreciated

How about you give the same points for an away game then.

Given that Villa fans always seem to the the smuggest big-time Charlies going, what they deserve is another relegation.

Great move by Reading FC. Still think we should charge Leeds £50, they'd still bring 30,000.

I don't understand the critics of the Thai owners, here is another example of them acting in the best possible fashion and not 'just being here for a property deal'.
Again backing the manager in a responsible way this window. Other than the quick sacking of Brian, who hadn't actual inspired confidence, they've been great.
Right from the free t-shirts at Wembley I thought they were going to be good.

More like 4 seasons, we've won about 30 out of 88 of the last home league games. 8 in each of the last three chump seasons.

Let's hope that away tickets get priced as fairly.

Hopefully we'll see some reciprocal pricing from other clubs.

Indeed. This is an idea that arose from the Royalty Points Review that STAR carried out amongst its members and on a thread on this forum some time ago. It's something STAR has pushed for quite a while since and we're very pleased to see the Club agreeing and rewarding our away supporters in equal measure.

Maybe it's because times are getting harder or maybe it's because fan pressure is beginning to pay off. The PL has brought in a cap of £30 for away tickets; Arsenal fans won't have to pay more than £27 for an away ticket this season; Swansea fans no more than £22.

STAR is delighted with RFC's progressive attitude and action on this matter - it's something as an organisation we've been pressing for in meetings with senior management all last season and with the banner march and follow-up petition.

We agree with other posters this sets a good example for other clubs in the Championship to follow - hey there, you East Anglians - and we hope they do.

However, the PL clubs have much more money to cushion themselves with and a lot of Champ clubs have some pretty independent-minded owners so don't expect miracles.

while the 30 quid cap is good, I still wouldn't like it if my club was letting away fans in for 30 quid, but charging me 90 quid for a game.
luckily reading have sorted that out nicely here.

top stuff
