I've no idea why accounts couldn't have been passed over automatically. It's a basic IT task.

Really shoddy from the club.

200 Miles Linking to other people seems to be a problem, they need an account first which isn't what was advertised

Yep, so to “conveniently add my other family members” I need to set an account per head, even though my son isn’t about to buy anything soon. Different.

But hey, ludicrously cheap STs make up for slight flakiness.

My mrs and step kids don’t have accounts but it let me add their member cards to my F&F list.

Not really though :|

Probably best that you confirm the old system can talk to the new system and describe the basic IT task the club should’ve taken?

It does seem to work now, I selected they do have an account (which they don't) entered the details and it found them. But that's exactly what I did before and it didn't. Maybe fixed or maybe me.

And maybe part of the exercise is to purge the system of the undoubtably huge number of dormant, duplicate or fraudulent accounts ?
Of course there is a balance between doing that and losing customers who can’t be bothered but if you can’t be bothered you probably weren’t planning on going to many games any way.

It's no big deal, but data migration is a very standard part of any IT development regardless of whether the two systems talk to each other. And duplicate / inactive account data deletion should be no problem as part of that.

None of which means getting users to reregister isn't a valid thing to do. Trying to second guess what a dormant account is or even a duplicate is never going to be perfect and everything has a cost....

Hence why I said it's no big deal. It's a fairly easy way to trim costs. But data migration is fairly standard and better customer service.

I clicked linked accounts and it doesn't offer me any option to add my previous account - anyone having this issue? What a state.

Make sure you complete the profile page correctly. As the system allows you to continue even if you haven't.

I am a ST holder in the East Stand and want to renew my ST ticket and move to 1871 stand.

Will have to wait till July 2nd for Movers day? But...

What if you did'nt have a ST ticket last season, can u buy and sit in 1871 straight away?! Doesn't seem right? :?: :!:

Season tickets renewed. Painless. Phones answered within a couple of minutes too. Email came through a few minutes later.

Just renewed over phone and got our ST in Club 1871. Took a while to answer but otherwise painless.
