Snowflake Royal Surely there isn't much to gain. It's hardly likely to result in many extra units shifting, just a bit earlier. So if there is a cost attached to releasing earlier it's a no brainer.

You would have to plan well in advance to move the release date, so what you make up in one year from positive end of season buzz you lose in another from end of season disappointment and fatigue.

There's always going to be a buzz in advance of a new season.

Most businesses like to get money in their bank accounts as soon as possible. The club seem to have been surprisingly lax on that this year. I don't recall the renewal deadline for season tickets ever being as late as it was this year. Even though our fate wasn't known until nearly the end of the season, there was still a really wide window for renewing.

As for kit release dates, Reading do seem to be in the minority in terms of always releasing shortly before the start of the season (other clubs have changes of kit manufacturers and/or sponsors and still get theirs out a lot earlier). It's clearly a deliberate strategy on the part of Reading and I'd be interested to know what the reasoning behind it is. I assume they believe they benefit more than other clubs through the late release date.

No, as previously communicated by the club it is a pre-season only kit.

New Deportivo home shirt :?

Slap a Reading badge on it, a white-out Casumo logo in a blue hoop and its job done.

I must admit, and we’ve done it in the past, but I love the dark blue/black shorts and socks. That would look great with blue and white hoops.

The top image is a potatoshop as mentioned. But it’s a 9/10 from me.

I loved the black and grey one we had in the premier league that time. The Kyocera one.

Yeah, one of my favourite shirts as well.
The Orange and black one a couple of years back would have been epic if the hoops had gone all the way around and the rubbish logo wasn't on the front.

Wallsy There’s a disappointing lack of ITK’s regarding the kit this year. Paul doesn’t even seem to know anything.

I do, but can’t make it to obvious.

What I will say is don’t get to excited about the new shirt,

Macron come to conclusion you can’t do to much with a blue and white hoop shirt. What you can do is add a third colour to it, and stick it on the sleeves, hey presto new kit.

Training kits are not what you have been seeing either by the way.
