I always enjoy Charlton away. Think I'll be in for this although it does make my new healthy eating and no drinking difficult based on it being early new year.

The 3-4 win there a number of years ago was epic.

Deniss Rackels, thought he was pretty useful, certainly had threat about him and probably would have scored a good few more if he hadn’t have busted his ankle at the start of season 2016-17. Anyway he’s now 32 and playing in Poland for Hutnik Warsaw.

Yeah, I liked him.
No worse than many others we've had up front.

My pie that day was burnt to an absolute crisp and I saw a fellow RFC fan try to punch a police horse.

Lizzie to Woolwich probably, takes you to within a couple of miles of the ground. Short bus ride from there or two stops on South Eastern from nearby Woolwich Arsenal.

The alternative is Bakerloo to Baker Street then Jubilee to London Bridge then mainline to Charlton station.
Would be interested to know which is quicker.

Can't remember how I did it last season, as always coming from Fleet so will just work out if it's better cost/efficiency-wise to head up on a Star coach or make my own way, usually ends up being by coach.

There's no pubs nearby so better off drinking in central.

If you have time you could get off the train at Greenwich and try some places there. If you want a Greenwich riverside pub then Maze Hill station is nearer to walk from.

TFL recommends Elizabeth Line to Farringdon, then Thameslink direct to Charlton..
