Shrewsbury Away

Strange this one still hasn't been called off yet.

Any ideas if international call ups are all confirmed?

My understanding is we have had 3 players provisionally called up (Bindon, Tuma, Savage) but a lot is dependent on whether the likes of Savage gets a call up the full squad and not just the Wales U21's as that complicates things.

I am working on the assumption it will be called off.

Tuma’s crocked isn’t he, so that only leaves Bindon and possibly Savage, so there’s a chance this will get played on the expected date.

No league one games are off yet according to BBC, squads only starting to be announced now....to date just Bindon called up.

If we just lose Bindon & Savage and have to play the game we are going to be well short of players as no one will be back by then....Hunt has said Elliott is a few weeks away still. If CBC is fit, he's usually called up by Jamaica.

Not sure Shrewsbury have players away - the home game was also called off in the autumn.

Tuesday 8th April is, I think, the only possible date before 3rd May (end of season).

BBC drivel again. Both Bolton and Huddersfield have already rearranged their games that clash therefore they’ve obviously had the heads up.

No all EFL matches that fall on an international weekend were on TV regardless of the 3pm KO time or not as the blackout rule doesn't apply.

Didn't know that. That said, pretty sure every game we've had in League One on an international weekend has been postponed.

Ditto! Though given Reading's games on these weekends are always off it's not a surprise. Have to ask the question though why this stupid Saturday 3pm blackout rule still exists, what's different about an international weekend for your team, if it's playing, from all the other Saturdays?

Last season, the buses were hilariously shit. One single decker, which left about 50 odd fans stranded by the stadium.
He came back about 45 minutes later.

There's actually a train line right by the stadium, appreciate It Is Not As Simple As All That but a wee shuttle line on matchdays would be joined up thinking.

Even getting a taxi to the ground was ridiculously difficult and we were practically drinking outside the train station.

Yeah, we had the same issue, not a taxi to be seen. Old Bill got another bus ready, we arrived at the turnstiles just as our second went in. Still got to see all three of their goals!

TBF, it's less than a 30 minute walk back into town and Shrewsbury's not short of decent pubs en route back to the station.
