I don't like it. Looks a bit "mix & match" to me. Worst shirt for a number of seasons.

My immediate first impression of it wasn't great but after looking at it a bit closer (not the close up on the shorts) I really quite like it. It looks like a very modern, adventurous design and will probly be the first home shirt I've bought for years.

I really do not like asymmetric kits at the best of times, but that is a right dog's breakfast. Yuk.

iPhil® Still no news on when it will be available. But I think from what the guy in the store said last week it will be a week before the season starts.

Reading Football Club has the pleasure of unveiling its new Barclays Premiership home kit.

The new strip, which is on display now in the Madejski Stadium Megastore, is a blend of a modern design and a traditional look.

It is manufactured from the latest lightweight 130gms wickable and breathable fabric, with breathable side panels, sleeve bindings and over lock stitching.

The shirts remain at last season's prices of £26 for baby kits, £28 for childrens' sizes, £32 for ladies shirts, £38 for mens short sleeves and £42 for mens long sleeves.

Supporters also have the opportunity to personalise their shirt with official Premiership names, numbers and sleeve patches - £10 for a player name and number and £5 for sleeve patches.

The Club will be sending all Season Ticket Holders a special voucher worth £5 that can be redeemed on Friday 4th, Saturday 5th or Sunday 6th August, a week in advance of the official launch.

Supporters who cannot visit the Megastore on these three days can still use the voucher but must send it in with an order form to be received before Saturday 12th August.

The vouchers will be sent out to all qualifying supporters from Wednesday 26th July.

The home kit will be officially launched to the general public at our pre-season home match against Feyenoord on Saturday 12th August 2006. The Megastore will be open from 9am-6pm on this day.

The shirts will be available in the following sizes:

Baby sizes: 12 months to 4/5 years (including shorts & socks)
Children sizes: small to youth
Ladies sizes: 8 to 18
Adult sizes: small to 3XL

I really pleased the club have pulled their finger out on the discount issue. Giving STH a £5 voucher.

The thing I'm not sure about is the collar.

It's not the worst we've had but it's not the best either.

I hate the white down one side and the blue down the other, it never looks right.

I will be buying one though, as I haven't bought a home shirt since the play-off season when we lost to Wolves and I'll enjoy wearing it around Leeds, Prem badges and all. :P

It's a bit funny looking isn't it? I'm hoping the short sleeved version might be a bit less gimp

C'mon guys, a much better kit IMO. Told you it had the same collar as the away kit, although I must have seen the change (white) shorts/

Would rather have discount on Season Tickets than merchandise. At the end of the day, you can't go to a match without a ticket but you can without a shirt.

Thanks for displaying the pictures and that text.

I don't like it one bit. What's going on with the back? Are we Blackburn in disguise?

It's a bad money making move like our awful website. I will not be buying it.
