Agreed - but maybe the pendulum has swung too far when passion and atmosphere are largely absent from our stadia because of over-zealous stewarding and policing approaches and because of pricing policies which amount to "economic cleansing".

I think there is passion and atmosphere - and there would be a lot more leeway if fans didn't push the stewards to the limit. As to the 'economic cleansing' I would lay this at the feet of the players. Look at the prices, look at the TV cash, the merchandise etc and one would expect to see rich owners making a mint. Sadly it is the workers who are screwing the fans. Animal Farm anyone?

EPR Did anyone confirm if tickets are available at Preston on the day?

I need to know this aswell as my old man has had his luggage swiped in Alicante with the ticket in case.shite

Probably too late to help i'm afraid but YES, I just called Preston TO and Reading fans can pay at the turnstile, cash only.
