Brum Royal
Green Why are tickets seemingly harder to come by for this than previous Wembley play off finals?

Has our support increased over that time or is it just the royaLOLty points scheme has been running longer?

Or are there perhaps just more tickets for the likes of Dirk & the prawn sandwich lot at an FA fixture?

There's 9k less tickets for a start Greeners. I believe someone mentioned further up the thread we had 40k for the playoffs but only have 31k for the cup semi final.

Also it's the first semi final in 80 odd years. Also we're playing Arsenal.

I may have read that wrong...

If you meant "Thanks to those who offered to help but we were able to secure them via some one else" Then can those people who offered drop me a message please :)

If you meant "Thanks to those who offered to help sort out the extra tickets we needed" Then ignore me :) - Unless you know of others who would be willing to help.

ohgawd I need sleep.

Are the two occasions not comparable in your book then, EPK?

I wouldn't deride the magic of the FA Cup for even a nanosecond, but equally they don't come much bigger than the championship playoff final.

Dave-Royal Arsenal vs reading 18 april it was confirmed Windermere royal....

Reading will receive roughly 31,500 tickets for our FA Cup semi-final against Arsenal.

Reading fans will be located in the east of Wembley Stadium, which is the opposite end to our play-off final against Swansea in 2011. .

I there a losers end at Wembley as there was at the Millenium Stadium?

Elm Park Kid It's simple: if we sell out before we get down to non-members then the club has done the right thing. If we don't then it hasn't.

I agree with you Elm Park kid, it is as simple as that.

Out of interest ( and to stir things up a bit), I'm pretty sure that the play-off against Wallsall back in 2001, the Club let us have 6, yes 6 tickets per STH.

I really can`t see us selling 14.000 tickets in 2 days, looking like a free for all after Monday

My guess is that Saturday and Sunday will be the big 'sell' days. Weekend, folks waiting to the royalty points barrier to come down, easier to get to stadium at weekend, plus open to 9pm tonight.

I would expect sales to top 17,500 by end of today. Then well into the mid-late twenties by end of Sunday. Early next week, the remainder will go. Then still almost three weeks remaining to sell whatever else we ask for.

Bear in mind you can't buy from the stadium for much of Saturday due to the rugby

You'd have to wonder about the kind of fan who wouldn't be bothered about going to an FA Cup semi if we weren't playing a "big 4" club like Arsenal.

Kitsondinho If we have sold around 21-22,000 by the end of today then I think we can safely say it will sell out. If we are under 20,000 by the end of today, I'd be surprised by that. However in that situation, I'd agree that the club got it wrong. I fully expect it not to go to General Sale......or if it does, it'll the extra 1,000 or so they are holding back.

16,300 by 5pm today; nowhere near 20,000. Now after today turned out not to be the busiest day, people are saying Saturday and Sunday are going to be the busiest. I don't see it, there will be tickets on General Sale for certain in my view.

Well it is certainly looking that way! As I said, I'm surprised so few have gone, especially as the £33 ones are still about. Maybe we'll shift 15,000 in the next few days, but like you say judging by sales so far, it seems unlikely!!

Difficult to know if 16,300 is a good amount or not at the moment.

We know we have around 12000 season ticket holders but of the 80,000 plus other members we don't know how many of them have the 750 points currently required. If it's 10-15000 we still have a lot of others who just haven't been able to buy at the moment

I've been waiting for days to get my tickets and finally when the day arrives the website doesn't seem to be working. Anyone else had problems this morning?
