Maybe a better measure would be percentage of away capacity filled? That takes out the variables of how many tickets are available to us at some of the smaller grounds. We could have taken a lot more to Wycombe but there was no capacity, while there are other grounds where we've not sold the full allocation.

Cambridge and Charlton selling out should see our average tipping upwards a bit.

Fully expect Leyton Orient to sell out too, that went pretty quickly last season.

Burton may be more of a struggle. Shame it's a Tuesday. Poxy stadium, but there's some cracking pubs in the town centre.

Been looking ahead to various away games and prices and it appears Burton & Crawley are both reasonably priced at around £18 for terracing for Adults. I predict the following away matches will be sold out between now & end of season:

Leyton Orient
Crawley
Northampton
Mansfield will go pretty close as it's not a venue we've played at in years and falls on Easter Monday.
Bristol Rovers

Agreed. As a word of warning, there's fuck all on the way out to the ground.

Took in the Pirelli Stadium as an emergency game, when our away match at Forest was flooded off a few years ago, just as we approaching the City Ground. Drove round and round Burton's stadium looking for a pub and found nothing. CapitaLoL of British Brewing. Eventually found a mid-terrace boozer, decent enough, with an interesting selection of cobs cling-filmed up behind the bar. Onion with cheese, onion with ham, onion with beef. TBF they were excellent. Couple of friendly Blackpool supporters in there who were keen to hear how their favourite Charlie Adam was doing.

Anyway as you say, there's next to nothing near the ground. Town centre, spoilt for choice, Coopers Tavern would definitely make my top ten pubs from 2024. Absolute banger and an impeccable pint of Bass.

Similar. Went in late Jan 2018 when the game got called off due to FA cup but we'd already decided to go.

Might even be a 'match report' saved somewhere. EDIT here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=140861&p=4577265&hilit=coopers#p4577265

tldr go to the Coopers.

Yep - always find this an interesting read.

I guess we could slip a bit between now and the end of the season....aways at Wigan & Blackpool are nothing new as we play them every year, Crawley and Northampton are small grounds and Shrewsbury could get moved to midweek as it falls during the March international break.

Our away supports been pretty good this season considering it's our 2nd year in league one and there's not many new grounds for most.

I expect Mansfield we'll sell out, as will Northampton and Bristol Rovers. We do have more away midweeks this season which will hit the total numbers.
