rfcjoe I rang up and said I wanted to renew but I'm not paying til Wednesday ( payday  ) Is this still alright and will it register that I've renewed - you know what reading is like for feckin stuff up.....?

Obviously it won;t register that you've renewed, because you haven;t ! I don't think you can lay this one on RFC.
If you haven;t paid you haven;t renewed and can;t expect either the renewal discount or your seat to still be there for you.
If they do bend the rules then expect next season thousands of people to tell the club they will be renewing in June and not pay until December.

Still havent renewed

I REALLY want to but the harsh reality is I just dont have £400 lying around and dont want to stick it on a credit card when Ive just spent 2 months paying it off. And I want to go travelling next year so might be away for some of the season anyway.

If I find the money Ill just renew later. I dont think my seat in row JJ in the North stand is under any immediate danger ;)

Two days till those of us that renewed can move seats. JJ, you say? I quite fancy being high up for a change next season....

I think that means 14k STH by the start of the season - which I would suggest is good.

Think the figure will be closer to 13,000, but I suppose at least the club are under no immediate pressure to keep half the South Stand open for home supporters, so some of the better travelled clubs/supporters of the Championship might bring a full 4,000 allocation.

It will be interesting to see what the final number is.
I had heard in previous years they get a couple of thousand 'churns' so I don;t think getting up to 14k is out of the question. It wouldn;t surprise me if a fair few who didn't renew will still succumb, especially when the new signings start rolling in !!
The numbers who have renewed are definitely ahead of what I'd been told was the working assumption.

So on the official site JM says we had 8500 ST holders at the start of our last Championship campaign, I thought it was nearer 11000, or did we sell almost 9500 half ST ?

I renewed straight away. Your team's your team. I'd renew whatever division they were in.

If i remember at the time it was probably closer to 5-6K in half season tickets. At the time i had to start moving around all the stands so i could take my daughter to a game on a ticket basis. Distinctly remember sitting in the lower east stand where a bloke was gobbing off. Shouting abuse at a named player - turned out it wasn't even the correct name.
Got my daughters season ticket now so she's got her toe in the water.
