Decided on this myself now:

Southampton Football Club Park & Ride - Car Park

St Mary's Stadium
Southampton Football Club Park & Ride
Southampton
SO31 8GN

General Parking Information

The park and ride is located in Hamble Lane just off Junction 8 of M27 and opposite the Bursledon Tesco's superstore (Follow the Yellow AA 'Away Fan' Signs) .

The car park is secure, stewarded with toilet facilities and the Shuttle buses run from up to two hours before kick off time. It takes around 15mins to reach the Stadium from the car park site depending on the traffic and more or less is a straight road into Southampton. Away fans are dropped off in a road next to the away fans section near where away coaches are parked. After the match the buses pick up from the same area and because the road next to the Stadium is closed, park and ride buses are given first access to beat the post match traffic.

Opening Hours & Prices

Mon-Sun / 24 hours
£5

The park and ride works well.

Long bus queues after the game though because of the amount of reading fans who use it.
