No Fixed Abode LOL @ not selling out. Massive club. Bigger than Brighton.

The game is 3 weeks away m8. But agreed, would be a bit Mickey Mouse if we failed to sell out this one. At least then it might put to bed any ridiculous pretensions of Reading being a 'big club' :!:

Er...I think you'll both find out that we have sold our full allocation.

Sweet FA
Cureton's Volley There is one decent train to Yeovil Pen Mill which only takes only 1hr 50mins, the rest are all at least half an hour longer, and most go to Yeovil Junction in the middle of nowhere:

dep 09:04 Reading [RDG] to Westbury (Wilts) [WSB] arr 09:56

dep 10:02 Westbury (Wilts) [WSB] to Yeovil Pen Mill [YVP] arr 10:54

Leaves a few hours to make the 3 mile journey to the ground, starting with a breakfast at 'Spoons:

The William Dampier
97 Middle Street
Yeovil
Somerset
BA20 1LN

Going to look into other boozer's en route.

If that is too early, then there is another one leaving Reading at 11.04, arriving at 13.16 but this would require a quick step or a taxi :(

Thought you said you were 16 on the Bolton thread? You can drink coke at the ground.

Well I didn't quite say it... but I can see how one could misconstrue my facetious remark about drinking 'Frosty Jack' on National Rail services as = 16 years of age.

In reality you'd find I'm 10+ years older and will be supping a flask of 'The Glenlivet'

People were discussing where to drink before the match, been told if your not wearing the reading shirt, you can get in to the tent :)

Readingfanman Some info for the day:

No alcohol is to be served at the ground if it is a capacity away crowd, which looks likely.
The Bell in Preston Road is shut indefinitely after a fire in January.

Imagine the money they will be losing out on by creating that silly rule!

Is this definitely confirmed and accurate?

I ask as it's not mentioned on Football Ground Guide - but regardless I've heard of this stuff before and it's often not the case when you get there.

It's straight from Ciderspace which is the main Yeovil fan site.

The away end looks funny on TV... a bit like the Withdean did with the open air terrace made from scaffold, only closer to the pitch

Couldnt believe it, I forgot to ring the ticket office on Thursday, so rang up when I remembered at about 11 on Friday and we've fcuking sold out. My own fault I guess but still I didnt think we would sell out that quick with that many left on Wednesday. Guess alot of Royals haven't been to Yeovil before...

Birmingham have been given a lot more tickets than us, so what's happened there? Have we asked for less, or have Yeovil offered us less for some reason? We would have sold out a larger allocation no problem at all.

Yea I noticed Brum got over 2000 tickets, can't remember exact figure.

I assume we were offered the entire away stand + the side sheltered bit OR two thirds of the away stand + sheltered bit, so slightly less.
