Eagle436 The new kit will be Puma.

Are you the same Eagle on Twitter who's a pilot?

What's your source that Puma have renewed the contract with us? It just seems odd the club wouldn't announce it months ago when they agreed the new kits earlier this year.

White shorts, white socks?
Away kit colour?

I will be massively disappointed if Puma re-sign. The quality of their shirts, and their sportsware in general, is at best shoddy. The kit designs are consistently awful. Let's change it up, please.

I am a season ticket holder at Reading FC and yes I am on twitter (pilot).I occasionally hear bits and pices from an unnamed source. One of the things I have heard is that we are working with Puma next season. I.e. Next seasons kit will be made by Puma.

I agree it's a little strange the club haven't released any details yet but they do tend to be very secretive! From what I have read the club might be releasing the kits earlier than usual, we shall see.

As to the kit design itself I am not claiming to know anything about this but I see other clubs have released Puma kits which might give is some clues?

You're a nice guy, I've seen you about on Twitter in the past, but to be fair, you do get sucked in a lot from those not in the know. If it is Puma that's pretty shit, but kudos for knowing if it is. But just maybe take more things you're told on there with a large pinch of salt, just in case.

Welcome to the forum by the way!

Divvy: Thanks for the welcome!

Fair point, your probably right. Nobody enjoys the transfer news/rumours etc more than me be it on twitter on anywhere else for that matter. As you say nobody actually has a clue what is going on, Reading are very good at keeping things quiet!

However this info on the kit is not from twitter/the Internet it is a direct source.

Right then - JayRoyal

Puma templates buddy. It sounds like we're stuck with them. What can we be disappointed with next season?

If they were changing from Puma, they would have surely announced it already...

You could say the same if they were keeping them as well. The last time we thrashed out a contract renewal with Puma, it was announced in the December. The shirt designs will have been agreed months ago, so we would also have agreed a renewal months ago.

Go on then. The last 10 Championship winner, how many had collars..? For curiosity sake.

Can't believe I did this.

Since the start of the Championship (04/05 season) only 4 of the 9 winners have been wearing shirts with collars, which would suggest that no collar would be the favoured option however, 2 of these are 4 teams were Reading so I think that means if we have collars there is a 50% chance we will win the division.

That without a back panel, white shorts and socks would be a dream kit!!

If it is puma it's a big big let down but also why is the club having a mega sale of 90%

I did wonder that. Everything with Puma on it is in a clearance, but then I wondered if they do that every year at this time? Obviously all the kit and training wear is, but everything else also?

Because, even if it is Puma, there'll be a whole range of new kit for the new season?
