The official presentation will be at the ground.

That doesn't mean they can't have the trophy on the bus.

AthleticoSpizz Thanx Phil

Those timings (or at least the 3.30 bit) work for me :D

Ooops think I messed up , or they changed the info. Mad Stad stuff starts at 12.30, same time as the bus sets off. Bus is due at the Mad Srad around 2.30, so hopefully it'll be done around that time..

The OS said we can't lift it there due to a safety certificate. Seems a stupid rule.

The Football League have a very clear rule. They do not present the Trophy at away grounds. They have to be consistent because the moment they do it once, then a precedent is set.

Imagine West Ham being presented with the trophy at the Den and you can see why they have to have one rule for all.

Bit of shame, but not going to stop me celebrating at St Andrews.

Maybe everyone should be a trophy as one of their inflatables to make up for it?

Thats not true though because QPR have had the trophy presented at their ground several times. Newcastle and West Brom had it presented there in recent seasons.

You can lead some up the garden path but they still need to open the front door.

Newcastle got it at home.

Sunderland however won it at Kenilworth Rd and weren't presented it there.

However, maybe they changed the rules after trouble / issues at one such event :?:

Anyone worked out how to see the bus tour and the presentation back at the Mad Stad?

Looking at the timings it's going to be a choice of one or the other which is a shame.

Loads of time. Watch the parade in Friar Street ~12:30 then jump in a cab to the MadStad.

Probably even time for a couple of pints in the Monk's in-between TBH.

^ Exactly what I did in 2006. Start at the Town Hall (making sure Queen Victoria is suitably attired) then follow the the bus down to Jackson's Corner. Take a break to grab a spot of lunch/refreshment and then nip down to the Mad Stad and grab your place for the show that never ends.

Believe also there were several people who simply followed the buses (there was one for the players and management and another behind it for all the WaGs (please let Mrs Z be on that :D ) on its trail through all of the Town Centre to the Mad Stad.

Reckon i'll attend the parade in town then not bother going to the Mad. Not worth it just for one lift of a trophy.
