TheLawnMowerMan I believe that the regular re-turfing also costs a six figure sum of money (such as is happening now) but it will not cost the same as the original pitch as the ground is already prepared.
I think the new turf is laid and stiched in (although I guess the grass could be grown from seed as there is time for this).
For some reason I seem to remember a figure of £125k being quoted for the returf a few years back which was put into the context of the Oirish playing there bringing a lot more cash in than the re-turfing was costing us.



Yeh I recall it being stated that Irish basically pay for the pitch and a bit.


The pitch was completely reseeded in the summer - a slightly different grass seed.
