Personally I prefer to ask people to sit.

I think it would be sorted out by specifying whether to be at the back and want to stand or sit at the front when buying a ticket to an away game. This would then stop people having to snitch because there are people standing in front of them and everyone can watch the football match how they want to watch it.

It doesn't work like that at the T/O when they issue out the tickets though. People have previously attempted to get tickets sold in blocks, attempted to get an area where those wishing to stand can do so. The fact that tickets are sold in stubs and are issued in the order they are sold - either in person or on the phone. This will always prevent this from happening. The only time this works is when we don't sell out.

i don't mind being asked to sit down, as long as the person in front of me is sitting as well. there is no point trying to casquade a shit down message to the front

i remember 2 incidents, a guy at Nottingham Forest away, old guy, hit me in the back with his walking stick after i stood up to applaude a McCarthy save. I asked him if i could celebrate a goal,got nothing back,

West Ham away a few years a go, the guy behind me repeatedly asking me to sit down, but i couldn't as his knee were going straight into my back. it was impossible. can't remember the end of it, but i think he ended up having to stand up.

As i said i don't mind ebing asked to sit down, as long as its not a completely ludicrous request
