If they could slow down from the pinky and perky version of everything then that would at least be a start.

Everytime they play 'The Great Escape' I have visions of Steve McQueen looking at them with that 'You've got to be Oxf@rd joking' look.

yeah, they are annoying
buti can drown them out. teh only time they really wind me up is when they start up just as the crowd start singing a propepr song, and ruin it.
and the fact they [play everything at x10 speed, so you couldnt sing along even if you were that way inclined

Rev Algenon Stickleback H I sit in Y25 and hardly ever hear the drummer or band.

In fact I'm not sure I even knew we had a band.

I think the drummer used to be in Y26, but received some polite requests that his talents could be best used in another part of the ground.

I sat in the west for the cup game and was astonished at how loud the drummer is, even towards the south corner. It seems to echo over the ground, incredibly annoying.

You can barely hear it in the east stand however. Thankfully!

How anyone still sits in the northeast corner is beyond me!

I can bring my bass guitar in if that helps. Plug me into the stadium PA system.

My speciality is the riff from Radio Clash, and the theme from BBC Motorsport (The Chain by Fleetwood Mac)

They are attention seeking kids. As soon as people start singing they desperately trying and drown it out with some out of time BOOM BOOMing to a song that has no relevance.

I hate drummers/bands at football stadiums at the best of times but we have one that after years of being there still can't be bothered to learn more than around 4 songs, 3 of which are not relevant to the match and all are played badly and out of time. It's like they award the weekly drumming to someone 'special' for drawing the best picture or summat.

I sit right under the flaming band, honestly myself and people around me try to sing loudly but just get stern looks by other people. Maybe thats the north stand summed up or maybe Reading fans :D

Yup, same. Sit right beneath them. Always turn round and shout for them to shut up and although they'll never take any notice, it makes me feel better.

Barring the 8 mins against West Brom and the 5 mins against Chelsea my most enjoyable time at the Madejski this season was the Liverpool game. 50% because of Alex McCarthy, 50% because the band weren't there.

My friend said to me "Any team with goal music and a drummer does not belong in the Premier League"

he's kinda got a point :/

Then again at least its not as bad as the bells at Fratton Park
