wingnut A m8 of mine is a member and as I understand it, he's been told the club is folding and he has to find a new one.


I also had this confirmed yesterday by a mate who is a member at the club. It's a real shame that the golf club is having to fold. I know there are plenty of golf clubs round here but that's not the point.

West Stand Man The transfer of Hogwood from the MOD to RFC had a covenant on it restricting its use as I recall. I seem to recall the price being agreed subject to any profit on future development being shared with the government. Could be rubbish of course.


I think you will find that Hogwood was never transfered to RFC. The area is owned by SJM or one of his companies and rented back to Reading FC.

There was much discussion at the time in the property market that the area would be come very valuble in the future as there would be a strong chance that any appliction to build houses on the area would probably be successful if the training ground moved out.

Thats good, how much did TSI pay SJM for the Hogwood - as shown in last years accounts....?
