Advertising like that is brilliant in my opinion.

Especially for those who don't really follow football or at least not RFC.

Proper football towns and cities, there is pride about place in regards of its football team. Public advertising gets RFC more engrained in the minds of the town residents/visitors.

Whilst the advertising is good, the state of the station already, isn't. Dirty windows, dirty metalwork, broken fixings.

Looks like our station advertising will be getting some national exposure; it's due to feature on next week's 'The Railway', Channel 5. 8)

Money well spent.

Geekins But then we open a shop in the Oracle... I think you guys are way off the mark. We probably had a trial period or a good deal to have it there and didn't want to renew as the initial novelty wore off.

Not to mention the moves we're making in Asia.

Some people have way too much time on their hands..

How many days until Christmas? I don't understand why the club does not have a permanent site in the town centre. I vaguely remember a concession of sorts in Heelas a few years back.

Not sure where else to put this...

I feel quite frustrated that RFC don't make their presence known as best they can in town and around the area. Eg no posters, flyers, big adverts, etc...

Today I went into a few shops. One was a card shop which had football calendars for sale. All the usual top 6 premier league clubs.

However they also had QPR, Watford, Hull. No RFC and it's like that in every shop it seems.

I know the club don't control the stock of other shops, but my point is our attendance has grown and an base over the last 20 years. Id like to see more aggressive marketing, and more pride shown to really make te clubs presence felt - mostly by those who aren't already keen and regular supporters.

You make a decent point Bobby and it's often been the case in all town centre shops, including the sports ones. Reading should really have some sales and marketing people who work a bit harder to get RFC products into local shops.

Strangely enough, you can get a Reading FC calender in Leicester quite easily

Some (different) RFC ads back in the same location.

Only got a quick look but there were definitely pictures of Gunter, McLeary, McCarthy and Robson-Kanu. So on the club calendar principle maybe that means none of those are likely to move on soon.

They've only been up a day or so and somebody must have already nicked the "for sale" signed which was above it
