So basically, if a poll taken by RFC to ST holders doesn't come up to your way of thinking, you're going to whine and bitch about it? Jeez.

I saw people moaning that only ST holders were asked - but tbf, they are the ones who have indic8ed their will to attend every home game. If they asked everyone, even those who only go a couple of times a season, it would skew the results somewhat really.

I'm not bothered either way by goal music so I'm not bothering to get het up about it. :|

The survey was not restricted to season ticket holders so everybody had an equal chance to make their views known.

Yellowcoat Do you really expect RFC to take notice of 30 odd people on here compared to nearly 1900 who bothered to complete a survey?

I expect the club to do what they damn well like.

Big Foot We are dealing with a football club interested solely in attracting women (& subsequently, their offspring/future offspring) to watch football. Remember that.

Club in wanting to grow their fanbase shocker.

Whatever next.

There should be NO goal music used in football EVER. I cannot stress this point enough.

As long as they don't puncture the balls they're fine.

What do you suggest instead - attracting men?

Ghey.

Yes m8, when is cared about RFC enough to go to games, it would be infuriating to be surrounded by divvy women holding up the drinks queue, painting their nails during the match & frowning at swearing. Bunch of pcunts.

Here's an idea..... Get BBC Radio Berks to play the goal music and those who wish to listen to it can bring a radio and headphones to the game.

SPARTA
Ian Royal Sorry, you want the club to go with the minority view just because it's a view that you (and I) agree with? 32% (assuming it was yes / no) should overrule 68%?

Not at all, but 1 in 3 is rather significant and I wouldn't choose to ignore that. Also the fans survey was only completed by a small proportion of the fan base, so it's not a reflective figure across the club. If the club did a vote for goal music only, rather than throw it in to a general annual survey, and include votes from Get Reading (not everyone uses the official site or worse, Facebook & Twitter), I expect the results to be very different; certainly closer. The annual survey was only completed by a few hundred fans according to someone who helped put it together.

if people want stuff to change that they dont like at RFC its probably key that they fill in the questionaire each season.
previous complaints have got us better food and beer. theyll always do it if they can and it doesnt cost the club too much

I would rather they didn't use it but mostly I don't give much of a toss. Where I do get a bit more rattloled is when it's played after we score a consolation goal when we're getting stuffed. That seems utterly ridiculous.

Agreed with the point about the consolation goal, but in general, we score, there's plenty of time for cheering, and then when the music starts the vast majority of people jump up and down and join in. Ironically or not it appears they're having fun. No doubt some people don't like it, but I suspect there are a few naysayers who moan about it because it fits with their image to be against such things.

Can we play music when the opposition score?
"Things can only get better"
"Always look on the bright side of life"
etc
