Not looking good for little old me with a measly 50 points. Mind you does leave me with the £500 I had saved up to spend elsewhere....

Spoke to someone in the ticket office today. Said they were still processing applications, but didn't think 50 points stood much chance. He reckonned that it would all be sorted out by the weekend.

I should add, although its unlikely that I will get a season ticket, the system seems very fair to me. I was made redundant a year ago and didn't feel that I could justify a season ticket or many match tickets last season when I was asking my family to cut back. Instead I relied on friends with season tickets letting me use their seats and also got a free ticket from the super sevens.

I hope Reading do well enough to stay up this season, I'm hoping that a number of season ticket holders will enjoy next season and will give it a miss for the following one allowing the likes of me an opportunity.

I've got 177 points, but not heard anything yet.

I'm getting nervous that they didn't recieve my application, or I filled it out wrong or something.

OS now reminding new applicants that there is still time to apply for a ticket, does this mean applications have been a bit slow?

Ring up the ticket office and makesure they have your application.

Me and my mate who had both over 300 points each had not heard anything early this week, so I rang and they told me they had lost my application.

As I'd faxed it over in May I'd kept the fax receipt , and they sorted me out double time with two seats in the East , EE, together.

The majority of seats left on Wednesday were either at the front few rows in the East or scattered around the ground.

Ticket office told me that their fax machine might have run out of toner when I sent it in May, but to their credit did sort it out in double time once the error was realised.

Emailed them and they said that they had my application and I would know for sure by the end of the month.

I still can't work out why they are encouraging more season ticket applications as they have so few to hand out.

Cheers Tinrib - I followed your advice, and indeed they had lost my application! I raced over to the stadium and with my royalty points (150) they managed to sort me out one in the East Stand. I had previously emailed them and they hadn't said anything about losing it, so anyone in doubt - especially you Mr C, give them a call first thing tomorrow!

I'm quite sure that any person who put the no.of points they have in this thread, will be a season ticket holder next season.

Unless your application has been lost.

been there done that! i sent my application back in may, phoned up on monday they told me they hadnt received my application!
I was furious and went mad at them
in the end i filled in a new form and explained that i sent it away 2 months ago and i ended up geting a phone call 2 hours later saying i have got a season ticket!
saying i was over the moon was an understatement but what a mixed day that was! going from knowing noting to knowing everything to getting a ticket GREAT

Its all a bit rum. I don't understand why they are taking so long if there is such a small number of seats available and why they can suddenly find seats for these poor people who have 100+ Royalty points.

a cynic would suggest that they are trying to maximise the non-concession applications.

2 people both with 150 points apply for a ST, one is an OAP, the other a full-price adult. Who gets the ticket ?

I think the club might be looking for more single applications?

This is so they can have a backlog of applications which if the ground were increased would get priority is my guess. It also helps knowing just how many they could have sold had the capacity been there and for potential buyers to know the strength of our 'premiership' fan base......

We put in 3 apps at the end of season in the ticket office box ..... no response at all so rang up and suprise suprise has lost application! Sorted it out then and there so if anyone has not heard and has around 100 points I would suggest ringing up/going in as as they seem to have lost numerous applications. What a shambles!!! and that was for 3 sat together.

Myself, my dad and my mate all have just been notified that we've got one, and we all had 50-100 points. They've also managed to get us 3 seats next to one another in the East Stand...well played RFC!

Points/Season Ticket

by ^Herb^ » 28 Jul 2006 21:00

Hey all,

Just to give a bit of hope, my father in law had 75 points & i had 80 points and we have both been allocated season tickets, so dont give up hope.

I did hear there was only 700 tickets available, but i only found out by checking online.

My brother had a season ticket last season and he hasnt heard anything, he only found out cos i checked his online ticketing account, so dont hold out for an email or text.........as i think you will have a looooooooooooooong wait.

Am I the only one concerned I'm going to turn up for the Middlesborough game and find someone else has been sold my seat despite the online system saying it is renewed and my credit card having been debited.
