for the life of me I can`t see the appeal of standing for 90minutes when theres a perfectly good seat to sit in right behind you at most grounds, when I see it on telly I just feel sorry for the poor sods that have to stand through no fault of their own

I think you'll land a whopper shortly with that one.

To be honest, I'm used to sitting down now. I do miss the days of the South Bank, but you're never going to recreate that again, even with a standing terrace - it just won't be the same.

True. With the plumbing they have at grounds nowadays you just don't get that unique 'stream-of-piss' smell that used to flow down the steps from the gents lavs.

Jerry St Clair I'll lend you the old hag who sat behind me at Spurs last season.
She's perfectly willing and able to squeal "sit down!" for 90 minutes non-stop.

Forbury Lion I'm only going if I'm gauranteed a comfy seat without some numpty standing in front of me for 90 minutes obstructing my view.

Spurs was definitely the worst away trip for the whinging sitting brigade last year. The guy behind me got annoyed everytime I stood up to see the far corner, but was heard later on to say "it doesn't matter whether the w*nker stands up, I cant see a thing from this awful seat anyway".
