I will bet I don't see any sniffer dogs on my way up to the upper west.

I think that a lot of people are using the 'why are these things related to football' 'branded football' type arguments when IF you read through the transcript on the main site they are doing this as a trial at a 'major' sporting event. (The company is based in Oxford and I don't think the Kassam has too many major events on these days!!!!

They quite rightly say that with 24,000 people in one place you have a cross section of soceity and whilst the misuse is small it is still significant.

I read it as they are using the day to tst out how thay can operate with a large crowd, how the dogs respond to the crowd etc etc.

It does not say anywhere 'there is a drug problem at Reading or even at football'

I imagine we have a cross section of society on HobNob that represents all views and opinions from those who may choose to use recreational drugs and the vast majority that don't.

It is a society problem and not a football one but football is the largest spectator sport in the UK so you can cover the greatest number of people and whether you like it or not violence etc has always been linked with football.

IMHO personally, I don't have any problem with it.

If the statistics about the number of £5 and £10 notes in the City of London with traces of cocaine on them are true, anyone who works in the Square Mile is bound to set the dogs going :)

What a joke, naive isn't even the start. Talk about a police state. RFC go
f uck yourselves.

I think you will find the law in this country is upheld by the Police Forces. Therefore if that is you idea of a Police State then you are correct.

I think you are trying to say that 'you can't tell me what I can and can't do' Well you can't do things that break the law. That is not a Police state.

Read '1984' if you need more information.

While I think this is a bit daft are people really suggesting that there isn't a higher than normal rate of drug use amongst football fans? I thought that was a generally accepted fact, especially amongst "renowned" sets of away fans such as United? If you checked the whole crowd on saturday and then checked a similar group in the Oracle I'm almost 100% sure which group would have more evidence of drug use.

BTW disappointed Schards hasn't had a go at Clive's suggestion we have 28,000 fans representing a cross section of society

The OS Drug detection search dog teams provided by Oxfordshire based GIS, a division of ICTS (UK) Ltd, will be manning the venue for the first time.
Is that right? Shouldn't it be "dogging" - or is that something different?

I'm pleased to report that this drugs-testing experiment has been cancelled by the football club.

I'd also like to thank RFC for listening to supporters and responding to their concerns.

The dogs are now going to be in the concourse sniffing pies for traces of meat.

PurpleTurtle I don't do illegal drugs myself but resent being searched for them in a so-called free country

It's not a free country when it comes to doing drugs, and generally breaking any other laws. HTH.

"HTH".

No, not really

There is a £3.5mil flaw in that rumour.

Allegedly.
